Just a short note to let you know that we were really pleased with the individual items, that Shaw Stairs Ltd made for our new house. We have had numerous complimentary comments from visitors, and my clients regarding staircase etc. Your staffs were also courteous and professional, I will definitely be recommending Shaw Stairs again.

My husband and I would just like to say how delighted we are with our recent staircase renovation. From the initial enquiry right through to the completion of the project the service we received was first class. It was a real pleasure to do business with your company and would have no hesitation in recommending you to others.

Please pass on our thanks once again to everyone involved.
Kind regards
John and Karen Hayes from Milton Keynes

Wow! What a transformation! Just wanted to say thank you for our staircase renovation. Excellent job, first class in every respect and superb craftsmanship. Your team were a pleasure to have in the house and nothing was too much trouble for them. Thank you,

What a great company, from the first meeting with Chris (designer) to plan our new stairs, through to the survey with Chris, to the fitting carried out by Brian and Jowel (whose workmanship is exemplary). All concerned made this a pleasant experience. We are absolutely delighted with the end product and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Shaw Stairs to anyone.

"I must let the world know what a fantastic job your guys did, with oak and glass, to remodel our staircase. It is stunning and the care taken with tiny details has been quite amazing. Moreover, it was a pleasure to have the pair of them in our home. Permanent smiles on their faces, obviously loving the job and proud of the result, Great stuff, Thank You All."

Turning a house into your forever home

Here are our top tips for turning a house into your forever home.

It is a stressful time in anyone's life when you are either moving or building a new house. It can be a lengthy process of waiting for solicitors, estate agents, architects and builders to all pull together and complete, while the whole time you feel like you are at a loss. The excitment of getting the keys to your new house is always a great day, but does anyone else feel deflated when you step inside and see an empty shell? It feels cold and uninviting and resembles absolutely nothing like the day you went round to visit?

The hard reality is that a house is never really a home until you make it! Furniture, photographs and ornaments can help to fill out the space and make the place feel more homely.

In the majority of houses, one of the first things you see when you open the front door is the staircase. We know, as I'm sure you do, with a lot of new build properties, they don't seem to pay too much attention to the stairs and you can often end up with something fairly basic and boring. Maybe this is just what you want and that's ok! But maybe, you want something more and that's where we can help.

We offer a extensive range of product and services from full staircase replacements, to simple refurbishment packs. These can be used to breath new life into a somewhat boring or tired looking staircase. Imagine an old country house, you move in and the stairs is a dark wood colour and it makes the whole place feel a bit dull and miserable. You decide to update the staircase to something open plan, with perhaps American white oak balustrade and glass infill. The next day you open that front door and instead you are greeted by something open, fresh and modern looking which I can guarantee will take your breath away day by day.

So, if this sounds like the kind of thing you are looking for - you know what to do! Get in touch with us on 01827 54988, check out or website and social media pages for ideas and we will be more than happy to make your dream a reality!

Here are some examples of some recent rennovations and brand new staircase projects we have completed - which is your favourite?
